Breast Cancer
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month,
and across the country, members of Zeta Tau Alpha hold special events to
increase awareness about early detection and to raise funds for
education and research.

ZTA is partnered with the following to help spread awareness:
Susan G. Komen - Race for a Cure
ZTA began an association with Susan G. Komen® in
1992 when it became the first national sponsor of the Race for the
Cure’s National Series Breast Cancer Survivor Recognition Program. Since
that year, ZTA has continually served as a national sponsor of the
Survivor Recognition Program.
Yoplait Lids
ZTA has completed our eighth year of a national partnership with Yoplait
and its Save Lids to Save Lives® program. The partnership began in
2004, when Yoplait asked ZTA to help collect lids on 10 college campuses
as part of a pilot project. Now, Yoplait and ZTA have expanded the
effort to all of our collegiate and alumnae chapters. For every lid
collected by ZTA, Yoplait donates 5 cents to the ZTA Foundation and 10
cents to Susan G. Komen®. By placing Yoplait lid collection boxes all
over campuses and hosting special events, Zetas collected over 1 million
lids!
NFL
Zeta Tau Alpha was proud to team with the National Football League's "A Crucial Catch" campaign for the 2011 season and spread the message of breast cancer awareness to professional football fans.
Think Pink
In February 2004, the ZTA Foundation announced that Think Pink® had become a registered trademark of ZTA with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Since then, this term has become the umbrella theme for all of our breast cancer education and awareness projects.
Pink Out
Each year, Zeta Tau Alpha chapters across the country host Think Pink or
Pink Out games with their university athletic departments to raise
awareness for breast cancer.
